Would love to have youse in California (today's high for Oakland is 60, and the low is projected to be 37, and I guarantee locals will freak the hell out about how "arctic" the 37 is), but I cannot lie: the northeast has just gotten spanked this year, hard.
Laura has two weather applets on her home page--one for Boston and one for SF. The foot is in the door, to say the least. If you know any awesome medical practices looking for dermatologists, it would not hurt to try to hook Laura up with them. ;)
Leaving you guys is definitely not the objective! :( Honestly, the chance to see all these kids grow up together is why we're having a discussion about this at all, after this winter. :-/
No, I know. We'll have to have the discussion after the PhD is done, too. My lungs can't take too many more cold-induced week-long bronchitis sessions.
This has been an exceptionally mild winter. Most of my winters here, I have been much colder. Although that's probably because the_star_fish has knit me lots of warm socks that I got to wear this year, while previous years I've had to wear crappy tube socks. And weather *outside* may be different.
