Life update

I can't believe it's been six months since a post with much content. Amazing what happens when one isn't sitting in front of a monitor for eight-ten hours a day trying to figure out how to make one's life better. What is up with us since January...we have been busy! Probably the most important thing to know is we're moving! On the first of the ( Read more... )

I am in town this Thursday, but headed out for a wedding Friday. elklad and I are planning to cook dinner at my place with our first CSA goodies Thursday night, and you'd be welcome to join us. Dinner likely won't be until about 8, though, so I don't know whether that would fit with your/kidlet's schedule.

I am so excited that you guys are moving up here. It is awesome, indeed.

Also, I happen to have some coworkers past and present with connections to healthcare companies that employ programmers. I can tell you more about the companies, if you like, and put out some feelers as to whether the folks I know would be willing to put in a good word.

Ooo, we will probably see you at this wedding in that we are also going to a wedding this weekend. *nod nod* It would be great to see y'all Thursday night even so. I'll communicate with the overmind and try to determine what our chances are of being able to make it out to JP by 8PM on Thursday (kidlet's bedtime is usually around 9:30ish these days, though a long drive around 8PM might do him in for the night).

And yes, I would be very interested in hearing more about healthcare companies you know and/or have friends in that might be able to use my help!

If it is easier to be in JP earlier, that is fine, too. We'll be there from 7PM on starting to cook. I just wanted you to know that food wouldn't be ready until 8ish. And if you don't make it for dinner, we'll see you at the wedding festivities.

Do let me know about dinner, though, so we can make sure to have enough.

Yeah, let's do it! I'm not sure exactly when we'll make it out there given all the upcoming chaos + Boston traffic, but we should be able to make it by 8 if not 7. See you in a couple days! \o/

Heh, Stellan discovered The Joy of Bread this weekend. But it's kind of like watching Cookie Monster eat: lots of enthusiasm, but I'm not convinced any food is actually being ingested. Instead Frank very happily cleans up the bits of bread which land all over the floor.

Ha ha! Jack has been playing with his bread for weeks. We knew one of these days he would make the connection A) I am playing with this object and B) My parents are feeding me this object therefore C) I can feed MYSELF this object, but it took surprisingly long for the lightbulb to go off, especially given how quickly most things find their way into his mouth.

At some point in the nearish future, I have plans to introduce Cassie to the fine Aquarium out there in your new area. As I hone in on an actual plan, would you like to see if maybe we can coordinate a meeting?

Am in Boston this weekend, as it turns out there's a wedding thing nearby. Am staying with esqgirl and C, but am not leaving until Tuesday morning, so perhaps there might be time for a little hot hot hanging out action? hugses, c
