cool looking bike Sil. I think you get mounts to attach the camera to the handlebar.

No Gorillapod, get a bike mount tsk1979 June 2 2009, 07:52:47 UTC
I have the Gorillapod SLR zoom. Its excellent when you are not moving. But when in motion, the vibrations kill the shot, even in car.
So get a dedicated bike mount.
first of all its safer for the camera, secondly, gorillapod is never a "tight" grip, so results will not be that great

DIY is cheap, however if you want to order from the net, you will need to spend 15-150$... sky is the limit

Congrats buddy...
Last part is what is most interesting in your post ;)
I guess you need to go for dedicated cameramount instead of gorilla pod if you dont want to see yourself riding all the way upto service centre to get your camera repaired.

Since you are in SFO, I suggest you join smugmugs community dgrin. Though its primarily of smugmug users, there are many non smugmug users also there.
Its dgrin.com
Since Smugmug is headquartered in bay area, lot of members are locals, and every now and then you get special deals etc., on the forums.
