So, for those wondering, my recent favorite icon is of Emilie Autumn. Her music is described as Victorindustrial or Punktorian. And I'm in love with it, if you haven't guessed. First, some concert video:

I just had a bit of it. I was really happy to find most of her stuff available on emusic last night. It's all I've been listening to today. She's got one of those fusion sounds: medieval + baroque + darkwave + industrial, etc. Electric violins plus synthesizers plus drum machines plus FREAKIN Harpsichords! (My favorite instrument....)

I dig harpsichords too. Sounds like an eclectic mix of influences not to mention the whole steampunk fashion aspect.

Yep -- just grabbed all that I could last night. Opheliac and Enchant have a pretty different sound to them, but I like them both.

Honestly, it was the icon that got my attention first. It was part of a really cool set and I loved the blinkie. So I investigated her work and was happily blown away by what I discovered. Since I was able to get most of her work on emusic, rather than just samplings, still loved it, I figured it was time to share the love.
