wow, those floors are going to look nice. Just looking at the picture I can smell that sawdust/wood sealer smell! I restored a 100 year old building and spent many hours behind various sanders.
yeah 18 inches of flood muck on top of cypress hardwood floors for 15 days. They aren't warped or bowed at all, the cypress held up they are the original floor boards. They are turning out amazing. I will post more pics of before and after as we make progress.
so i know theres tons of hard work involved, and the reason fo rthe house being so gutted is tragic... but i'm so excited for ya'll... to be able to almost be able to build your future home from the ground up... that's pretty awesome...
some day it's going to be finished, and you'll be able to look at every detail with pride and accomplishment and say "I/we did that."
*hugs* I'm happy for ya'll...
p.s. nice pic! i don't remember you having that much work done on your arm...
It is progressing quite nicely, my crew and I have sub floored all areas that are getting tile or carpet, stripped almost all the hardwood, framed in all the new walls. The Elec comes next week, plumbing as well. I am going tomorrow to pick up the new tubs and sinks we are getting a awesome 3ft wide by 6ft long and 30 inch deep jacuzzi tub for the master bath I can't wait.
