The Servant Leader

This phrase comes out quite often in management books.
And it came up again yesterday during my work review with the boss.
The subtle differences between a Servant first then a Leader, and vice-versa.

To become a Servant Leader, you can choose first to be a Leader.
And in the process, choose to be of Service to the people around you.

This was coined by the team of Vice Principals I was travelling with in 2006. I wonder which category I belong to. Maybe you can enlighten me the next time we meet.

Actually it was coined by a lot of people, including the biblical influences. Nobody can really call dibs on this term... i think...
