The L key and the period key on my laptop aren't working, thanks to the fucking cats; Nny got into a fight with the outdoor grey cat, causing Meep to freak out and spill water on my keyboard. Other than those two keys, everything seems ok, but I don't really know what to do about those keys or how to get them fixed. I'm c&ping those two keys to

Before you do ANYTHING else, make sure everything important to you on the computer is backed up. Once you have verified that your backups do indeed hold the data you think they do, turn the computer off and hit the keyboard with a blowdryer to dry it all off. If the water is what's preventing the keys from working, this will fix it.

Just make sure that you have beverything you need backed up now, while the computer is still working. Sometimes, water to the laptop will kill the drive as it dries, and you don't want to be left unprepared.

And if the computer is still working after this but the keys don't, you can probably just plug in a USB keyboard which can cost as low as $20.
