Either Ron Moore has planned or ahead, or his team of writers is very good at pulling good drama from seemingly random bits. What made the entire episode for me was the 'Why do the Cylons hate us?' scene between Adama and Sharon. Reaching back to the pilot for that was either a result of careful planning, or someone being very clever ( Read more... )

On one of the podcasts or the extras on the DVD (I can't remember), Ron Moore talks about the series bible. He has a substantial backstory for most of the characters and an evolved story of the universe.

It was a good ep, but I thought it was kind of a cop-out the way they killed the Admiral. It was like the typical cop-show cliche where they spend the whole thing trying to kill the bad guy and then chicken out until it's suddenly "self defense" -- Oh, it would be Wrong to assassinate her, but how convenient that she died anyway.

I'm not looking forward to their cancer cure, unless it involves another ressurection ship and an army of duplicate presidents.
