Happy Mid-Autumn Festival to those who celebrate it! We didn't do anything to celebrate yesterday. We got boxes of moon cakes from random people, but I didn't eat any of those. Ma's own moon cakes are the best so I can't eat any of the commerically made ones now. :3 Plus, I rather eat sun cakes than moon cakes anyway. I went to Kintanami with ( Read more... )

Hehehehe, hope you were able to eat a moon cake. :3

The only sun cake worth eating is the one in Taichung. If you ever go to to Taiwan, I'll give you the address. My Chinese Snacks book does have a sun cake recipe though I'm not sure how good it is. I could email that recipe to you. :) I just hope you're not allergic to any of the components.

Oh snap, you have 4,221 pageviews! I will be sure to not visit your page in the near future 'cause I'd feel terrible if I got the kiriban again. XD But don't worry, you're not nearly as slow as I am... my 4,000 kiriban was AGES ago (haha just goes to show how slowly I've been accumulating pageviews) and I haven't even STARTED (though that's probably 'cause it's Disney and I just haven't been in the mood for that lately). I dunno if you feel the same way, and I only have one kiriban pic to go by, but I think if a friend gets it I feel much less pressured to churn it out quickly, haha. Aaand I just realized the Zelda TP contest closes soon! I was thinking of entering it but the only eligible piece I have is the one I did for zelda_exchange which I'm not too happy with, plus it's kinda hokey to enter gift art, and I don't have any other TP inspiration. Plus a lot of the entries there (like yours :B) made me think, "Screw this, I'd have no chance anyway." XD Good luck on it!! Oh and thanks for the chem help too; I can't believe I didn't ( ... )

It's all right. That happened probably over a year ago; I got sick from a weird "Japanese" dish that smelled fishy that she made. Thank goodness no one got sick from the cake, but I avoided the runny (half-cooked?) part of the cake just in case.

My mom is awesome that way. :3
