Putting together a good wedding is equal parts doing something that you and your intended will remember fondly while at the same time ensuring that your guests have a good time. You can certainly add geekery to a wedding, but it has to be done in little dabbles instead of entire themes.

After attending these horrible weddings, I'm convinced the American weddings I've been to are so much more intimate and fun, but at least with Wid's American-educated Indo friends, they seem to know what is a good, modern wedding. It's a pretty interesting blend of Western and Eastern stuff.
