Is it me? Until very recently I was using a different icon. Tonight, however, I find I can no longer use it - the one I've chosen as my default image has since been made inactive and not by me. I'm able to upload more pics, provided I pay for it or select the plus option. That's fair enough - but to take the choice away from me and remove a pic

Me too. I like LJ, and have used it for many years, but I'm feeling rather disgruntled by the sudden change of icon. I use Wordpress for a different reason, for my WoW blog, and for my infrequent cooking blog. I feel like I can share other things here.

I stopped my paid account because the site was,down too often and so they made a bunch of my icons inactive too and I also found it annoying that I couldn't choose which would remain active but just had to bin a bunch. I'm still pretty active but I crosspost from Dreamwidth.

I crosspost from Dreamwidth now. I'm not sure if I want to stay here at LJ or not, so the crossposting is the best alternative for now. Once they force the ugly friends list on us, I'll definitely be reading most entries on DW (as several of my friends are crossposting as well). Ugh.

My friends recommended Dreamwidth to me and now a number of us cross post from there. I do like reading friends updates and having a place to have a brain download as well with space to update too

Grr, that's irritating to say the least, lj does keep my friends together in one place but the number of faults is mounting..
