Yeah, I've seen that one before. Any sort of explanation for what might be going on (is he her dad? is he her boyfriend?) just makes you feel kind of icky.
The mug of beer and cigarette add a nice touch of class. And is that an actual guitar and piano in the background, or just a picture?
What gets me are the expressions on their faces. She should really look more concerned than she is... or is that a quaalude daze? And he just looks eager. Maybe he's just telling her, "Hey, Joolie, I gonna play you sumtin on dat dere piano!"
I'd like to point out that #4 is a deliberate parody of a Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass album, "Whipped Cream and Other Delights", right down to the fonts used. As such, it should probably not be considered in the same class with some of these things that were clearly meant to be taken seriously.
I'm also not sure it's fair to count kiddie albums, which frequently have atrocious cover art because we're not the target audience for it.
THAT'S where that one's from. Thanks, I knew I'd seen that before.
I dunno, some of those kiddie albums should not be targeted to ANY audience. :) The one where the blond kid is literally making a O.o face... the photographer could've REALLY taken another shot.
