Sorry, here. I'm planning on voting no on 4 and yes on 5. I don't care how you spell it, I shouldn't have to die of second hand smoke because of your habbit. I was in CA when the first non-smoking state went into effect. There were almost riots in the streets. Now they are just fine. If you want a smoke, step outside or go to your car. There are already several non-smoking cities in Ohio. They don't seem to have problems.
I understand how you feel about this taking away your right to smoke, but what about non-smokers rights as well? I hate the fact that the smoking section is always at the front of the resturante. Non-smokers have to walk through it to get to thier seats. Then, unless there is a completely separate sealed room (4 walls and a door), you are still bombarded with thier second hand smoke. Gross. I hate having to come home from a late dinner with friends, strip down in my kitchen and go take a shower just so I don't reek of someone elses habbit.
If you read through my whole post you would see that in restaurants they will require completely separate walled in rooms with separate ventilation systems - so you won't have to worry about the nasty smell permeating your clothes if Issue 4 passes
( ... )
I won't bitch to you about it. I see that you are very passionate about this. I support your beliefs. That's why we have a vote. And you are welcome to free speach- we all are. And I still plan on voting against Issue 4. I have several places that I will never go again because I get a migrane because of all the smoke. I HATE the smell and I hate my clothes smelling like it when I leave. And if food starts tasteing like ass, then maybe I'll finaly loose some weight!
lol - ok then :) I see you are passionate as well.
Let the voters decide and if I lose, then I will just have to stop going out to have fun.
I just don't understand why it can't be left up to individual businesses to decide what is best for their customers. There are plenty of places going smoke-free voluntarily, which is the way it should be, in my opinion, and I have a right to not patronize those places - which I don't.
In my opinion, a ban is just one more government intrusion into my privacy, which I am against wholeheartedly.
