Hay thar. I'm in Angeles City, Philippines. I'm not sure which district I'm in though. MY STORY? LET ME TELL YOU IT.
It was over 11 hours on a plane to get here. =_= I can't sleep on planes so that was hell. I tried, but you can't really lie FLAT down in two airplane seats. PICS?! YES!
See? Not a lot of room to maneuver around.
They fed you right as you got on the plane. This had beef and noodles in it. Tasted like it was right out of a frozen food tray.
This lucky bastard got FOUR seats all to himself.
Tons of turbulence. I started getting air sick near the end.
Then a 5 hour layover in Taipei, Taiwan. This airport is huge. Probably a hundred stores in that place. They had these....relaxation places. Where they put up these fake trees and played sound effects from a rain forest. Not very relaxing when every 10 seconds they go "WOULD PASSENGERS FOR FLIGHT 445 PLEASE HURRY TO GATE C3. YOUR PLANE IS BOARDING"
But really! Look at this airport! It's got some strange things.
Prayer Room?!
Christians only. (No, there are two other prayer rooms for...two other religions) This room is about the size of a closet.
I thought it was really nice until I saw a cockroach in one of the bathrooms. *shiver*
A two hour flight to Manila. Not so bad. I was really tired so I don't remember much. XD They had little monitors in the seats and remotes in the armrests. I played this video game for most of the flight. (It's a remote and a game controller!)
It wasn't that hot until you stepped out of the airport there. Then it was like a slap in the face. LIKE THE SUN WAS ON TOP OF YOU. I'M TOTALLY SERIAL GUYS.
Mirose (father's wife [stepmother?!]), Maureen (Mirose's younger sister), Princess (cousin [I'm not sure if Princess is her real name]), and...some guy (never learned his name) picked us up and drove us to the Mall of Asia! HUGE ASS MALL. Thousands of stores and restaurants. I was sort of annoyed with their choice of where to eat: Stars and Stripes. A restaurant that has good old fashioned American food. Over 19 hours on planes/in airports to eat here?! The food was good though. ^^ Weird combos. Like I had Carbonara pasta with French fries and a ham and egg sandwich.
Then a 90 minute drive to Angeles City where Mirose lives. I'm actually staying in a hotel (pics come later) less than a block from her house. She wanted me to stay over there but...she doesn't have a running shower or toilet. I couldn't deal with that.
I have more to say. I'm just too sleepy to say it. I'll tell about my experiences with another mall, a karaoke bar, and the way people drive here (HOSHIT IT'S CRAZY).
