So you think ya know me?
Okay... So you're on my f-list, do you think you can think of a little known skill I have before
So did you guess that I actually know how to sew? Chances are you didn't but don't worry I've gotten used to hearing "You can sew?!?!"
So how did this revelation come about? I'd been telling kittykat1978 that some of her skirts needed shorten to more acceptable levels (well acceptable for my pleasure anyway *grin*) so I said, "You know I can sew". So I spent Friday evening shortening one of her skirts that she wore out to the WHIMPER party on Saturday. Today we went out and got a pattern along with several yards of black crushed panne velvet and purple satin that is going to be made into a nice hooded cloak for her to wear. Gotta make those "acceptable length skirts" street-legal somehow. *WEG*
We've come up with a few other ideas to work on later but this will be the first one. Been a few years since I've really done any sewing, at least any big projects. Will have to make some adjustments to the pattern to make it long enough for her.
We also went and got some supplies so we can be ready for Duckstock after we've recovered from Frolicon. We'd had our tent stolen out of our garage back in CA so we needed to replace it. We'd been trying to decide whether we were going to go or not, this seems to make our decision final.
And thus ends the long weekend as I prepare to retire and get some rest before I have to get up in the morning and go back to being a computer geek... Well honestly when do I ever stop being a computer geek?
