You just played with my emotions! This is brilliant - poignant and sad but also hopeful and filled with joy. Seeing Rose again is wonderful - I love her :) And I love the Solstice traditions being created and the gift lists for both the children and the teachers. Mister Smith's voice is bang on and I can hear him in my head as I read this. Especially when he talks about the importance of believing!

Thank you for sharing this treasure with us!!

Thank you very much! I'm just glad I could find my Mister Smith "voice" after such a long hiatus, but *whew* he's still in there somewhere, waiting to share more of his story.

Hmmm... Wonder why I feel a Jeremiah marathon coming on. :D

Especially when he talks about the importance of believing!

But, isn't that exactly what Mister Smith is all about? Believing? In the Voice? In Hope? In the Future? :)

This is just the sweetest story. It's always a delight to see Rose and Smith together. I love how the spirit of the season is brought to life by the sisters making up a wish list for the children and the children doing the same for the sisters. I have a feeling that by some miracle everything on the list will be found.

Thank you very much.

I'm not sure what I like writing more: Smith and Rose, or Smith and Kurdy. Hmmmmm. Maybe a Smith, Kurdy, and Rose story should be next. :D

I have a feeling that by some miracle everything on the list will be found.

I have a sneaky suspicion that you're right. (The muses have been trying to coax me into writing a sequel.)
