Squee!!!! I heart this video!! The dialogue and editing really worked out here. :)

Felix, being my favourite BSG character, I'm glad he got such an awesome story arc before his death. It's a pretty tragic one, but I love it nonetheless. I don't think many other characters had such an affecting storyline before their demise.

Thank you! :D

heh. This seem to be falafel_musings and I constants: our favorite characters die is spectacular affecting way. Took me a while to appreciate the storyline but I do now. He really was a tragic, misguided, naive but ultimately well-meaning character. I miss him but in terms of good-byes, it rarely gets better than this. For a secondary character, he sure got a lot of screentime during the last season.

Thank you!!! I miss vidding too - it keeps my mind off everything else. I'm satisfied with the audio part and I agree, it can easily be distracting.

he tragically resigned himself and welcomed his death as a relief in the end.

Little Felix deserved some peace. I'm glad he got it, even in such tragic circumstances.

Guh! This was just beautiful. Editing, timing, all lovely.

I loved the "I am ready" repetition and the "I know who you are Felix" at the end. Bravo! Thank you!

Thank you! I wanted to use "I know who you are Felix" earlier in the vid but that darn beautiful music in the background made it impossible to do so. I compromised and included it in the ending credit...

:( I knew that was going to make me sad. But I watched it anyway.

It was really good. I still think the mutiny should have won, but I'm quite biased.

Yeah, I biased too. Felix had some good points but nobody would listen to him. Not sure what else he could have done to keep the cylons off the fleet's FTL drives (which was an insane idea in the first place. I would have been on the mutiny side being on one of those ships).

Ok, and now that it's not 4 in the morning, let me just say that I thought the editing was brilliant, the clips perfect, and the voiceovers worked in a way that made my chest ache.

It's not even that nobody would listen to him, for me. When has anyone listened to him before? It's that the winners don't even seem to realize what they've done. They've destroyed all semblance of democracy. They left a woman in charge who was never elected, and she handed all her responsibilities to her lover's son, in spite of the fact that he wasn't elected, either. Adama continues to do whatever the frak he wants, even though he doesn't know what that is. That is my problem. I would have been ok with the mutiny losing if even a single one of these issues had been addressed.

I know, I felt the same way. But apparently RDM said the mutiny will resonate in the final episodes... let's hope so. I'd hate to think he died for nothing.

Aww, Cylune. This is a lovely, lovely tribute. I want to have proper words for it but I'm very moved right now. I'm not always sure about audio in vid sometimes. But here? Here it works perfectly. It's like hearing what Felix is thinking. You know him so well, this really illustrates what a good person Felix was, and how he got caught up in this war.

I should mention some of the most poignant parts to me. Felix with the Raptor Eight and the feelings that play across his face. His voice rising when he talks to her, the anguish. The small moments at the end, the tears in his eyes in Adama's quarters. And Gaius. The quiet sincerity of Gaius Baltar. Gosh. All clipped together with this quiet pacing that give you space to feelIt kind of ripped my guts out, the vid did. That's means you're good. It's Felix and no one should feel less than gutted at what he went through and how it ended. He was so good for so long and a real hero, even though he got lost along the way. He found himself. And you found him here. It is a lovely tribute to ( ... )

Oh, thank you so much for that wonderful, wonderful comment. I'm glad it moved you! (but it wasn't really difficult given the subject of the vid...)

Felix story line made me feel nauseous, proud, disappointed, angry, sad, devastated, outraged... how much emotion can this guy produce out of me? I think it's the mark of an awesome character. I'm glad I knew him.
