So my Dad has very kindly offered to buy me a new laptop. Is Windows Vista as bad as everyone says it is?

OH MY SWEET ZOMBIE JESUS YES!! Sorry for the caps, but I would stay away from Vista, far far away. My mom bought a new Toshiba (I plan on getting one as well, they're purty :3) and it has Vista on it. She loathes it.

what's wrong with it? most new computers have it, so i think it's kind of inevitable, like those pesky msn updates that i always leave until the previous version doesnt work.
