Hrm. I've pondered the disabled thing myself. Yeah, you've got to be sure if you want to do it. Still, the whole family missing you thing is pretty huge. Plus, they wouldn't understand anyways. That's the main thing.

I think my family would understand but they would just not want me to do it, which is to me a pretty good reason not to. I was just thinking about it, that it would be really a really ungrateful thing to do. I'll have to think about it more.

I probably shouldn't be sharing this info but here goes. A certain group out there has cataloged ways to kill yourself by effectiveness, painlessness, and sensitivity to those who will find you. The best way IMO is as follows

I've seen that site before I think. I guess you'll have to know the best place to shoot yourself so you really die instead of just blowing half your brain out and still survive.

Also couldnt you like... put a blanket on your head before you shoot yourself so it doesn't leave such a mess?

There's no "perfect" way to kill yourself so it's always a gamble and I'm not sure i'm willing to play. And the method you suggested, wouldn't you risk the air leaking in and not completely asphyxiating?

You have to be very careful to either tape it up really well around your neck, or use a good rubber band. Even if a little bit of air got in you would probably still die because of the high concentration of CO2 + low heart rate.

A shot to the head would definitely work in the right spot. The best bet is to aim for the brain stem, but it's kind of hard to fire a gun at the back of your head.
