Just got back from this conference in NJ and had a blast with Keri Mikulski, author of the sporty YA novel HEAD GAMES (Razorbill, January 2011).  I woke up at 4:30am Saturday morning and headed on over to my old hometown, Edison NJ, where I snapped a picture of the house I grew up in:

lol, your reaction to the contents of the books is so similar to mine when I read my first of that genre too. It is funny I kept going "eww" and "oh my God" but I wasn't able to put it down.
I may just check out that FORBIDDEN HEAT to see, lol :)
Oh by the way I can have your craft stuff from your goody bag, since you don't want it. hehe ;D

I should send you my copy... I am not sure it is wise to keep it in my house with the little kiddies around!!

And you are more than welcome to my crafty stuff!!

Yes I agree about the kids.
You could also donate it to a second hand bookstore and save money on having to ship it to me :)
the same goes for the crafty stuff. :)

Actually, Opal Carew and I used to have the same agent. So I, innocently enough, picked up one of Opal's books in a bookstore once and started skimming it. I just about died! Don't get me wrong, she's a talented writer, but uh, I think I'll stick to books previously known as Fairy Lust ;)

Haha, I was really curious to see what it was about, and I feel exactly the same. I respect her talent, but I discovered it's really not my thing!!

I know, I wish there was a conference like this every weekend! But then our husbands would kill us. Hee.
