I grew up on horror movies. Really. I think the first horror movie I saw was a black and white about zombies, and I couldn't have been more than 5.  I remember sitting with my mom at the age of 7 and watching an R-rated slasher movie called Hell Night. All of Insidious - I made a fool out of myself in the theater because I jumped and screamed at everything. It's a great movie.

Scene wise, I would have to say the scene in Poltergeist with the tree coming through and the one with the clown under the bed. And that moment in Halloween where Michael Myers is standing in the sheets hanging on the clothesline, watching Laurie's window.

I have never seen Insidious!

But oh yes, I think an entire generation of people hate clowns just because of that scene. And before that movie, I really wanted an in-ground swimming pool, but after? Not so much.
