Fred looked over at George, then down at their father.
"Maybe we should've told him not to eat the green one?"
George shrugged, unable to keep the smile off his face. It was a sunny day in Hogsmeade, surprisingly busy for the small village, but aside from a few worried faces, nobody seemed too concerned that the Weasley patriarch was lying prone in the middle of the street.
"Fainting Fancies, ladies and gents! Have a friend pop the white end in as soon as you've escaped the tedium of an unwanted engagement, and you'll be right as rain! Three Sickles apiece!"
As the crowd gathered closer to purchase the sweets, Fred grinned at his brother. Someday their dad would know not to accept candies from them.
Somebody is hiding from life, In Prince Manor, During 5th year, In snitch boxers, [Genre: Abused]. (feel free to ignore the abused part if you can't work it out. The rest is fun, though)
Harry was curled up in the closet. He knew he was being irrational. He knew that nothing was going to happen. He was perfectly fine.
For the first time he was taken from the Dursleys almost immediately. It may have had something to do with Harry ending up in a magical coma after he ignored his cousin yelling at him. It had been a rough summer, but it had only been two weeks.
Harry shivered. He wrapped his arms around his knees. He bent his head over his knees and felt a sob rising in his throat. He cried silently into his legs, shaking as the emotions washed over him.
"Harry," Snape said quietly. "Come on out. Let's talk about this."
"I'm sorry. I won't do it again."
Snape knelt down beside him. "No one is going to hurt you again. I'm here now. We know the truth and I won't let anyone hurt you again."
He wrapped an arm around the boy. "You are in your rightful home now. No one will dare to come to Prince Manor for you."
Harry leaned into the man beside him. "Do you promise?"
132 words; and Hermione's not a boy, but whatever.

Hermione sat outside the tent, the fire slowly dying in the cold night air. It was chilly, but she didn't mind. Her father was there, warm and solid beside her as she struggled to stay awake. Her eyes just wouldn't stay open, though, no matter what she tried.
"Come on, Herm, just a little longer. The meteor shower's due at ten," he said, nudging her gently. Hermione hummed her acquiescence, but didn't move. "We're lucky the snow's let up. No clouds tonight," he went on, but Hermione drifted closer and closer to sleep, until she was shaken a bit. "Look! It's started!" her father said excitedly, and his joy was infectious; Hermione peered at the sky, glad she'd been dragged camping in the middle of winter for this moment with her dad.

Draco blinked back tears, staring at Snape. He was shaking, fingers curled tight around his wand.
"You have to learn this," Snape snapped, staring right back at the small boy. "The Dark Lord will return, and he will see everything you wish to hide, if you can't block him out!"
"H-how can I do that?" Draco asked in a small voice. "You saw everything--s-saw him," he whispered, shuddering again at the thought of seeing the Dark Lord in the Forbidden Forest.
"You must try, Draco. For all our sakes," Severus said, then again leveled his wand at the child. "Legilimens."

<3 I actually really like this one. For having no idea where I was going with it, it turned out kind of awesome. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks so!
