Theatre rant (again)

I really feel like I'm in limbo right now, waiting for my boss to hire a new person so I can start my new schedule. I really need to get going on applying at some of these shows for a 2nd job. I feel like every day that goes by becomes more and more difficult/painful to not be involved in theatre. I'm starting to dream about it more and more ( Read more... )

I say call Ryan Kinder. I think the lighting, etc, is usually handled by the venue, so they'd have staff already; but, they'll need gophers, I'm willing to say.

When we had Hoobastank and Andrew WK and some others here last year, there were numerous jobs taken by students. I know there were drivers (it was an outdoor concert, and the hospitality room/green room was behind the stage), green room workers (keep the food, etc), I think they had an assisstant for each performing group... security (haha.. that was a joke), tickets, etc...

Sound & lighting were handled by a staging company...

This year we've got Petey Pable coming here... and I bet I'll see some of the similar jobs.

What I can say is call & ask, I don't think it hurts anything to ask. :)
