did it make any sort of noises or beeps of any kind? if so what was the beep pattern and when did it happen? also does your computer run all the time? and is it in a well aired space? it might be over heated and sometimes the parts wiggle loose and need to be reseated in the slots inside or it can over heat and burn out memory *happend to mine* or it can cause the CPU to over clock and burn out if the heat disappation unit and fan aren't working right or are blocked by dusty vents

Well aired and it isn't on all the time - hence having to switch it on first.
My other half did 7 years of computers so I'll get him to have a look at it when he gets home tomorrow.
