I am so sorry Cynthia - she has been a very good pal for a long long time. You are the third person today who has lost a furkid. Weird. I am glad I got to meet her. Give her a tiny little smoochies from me. And I will Everett an extra squeeze for Luna. Take care of yourself and of Dennis too. Hard times. Big hugs and some smoochies for you too.
Thanks Ruth and hugs to you and Everett too. Tiny little smoochies to Luna have been delivered.
I'm glad you met her--I think I introduced you to Luna before I showed you a photo of Dennis. He adores her and always talks to her in this really silly voice, so this is tough for him too.
(I hope it's not too long before I see you again.)
Oh, wow, I feel so bad for you--such a hard thing to cope with. I'm so sorry. But don't feel torn, just feel the grief. You had your one beautiful time in the sun, and have been able to say goodbye, and you're giving her the only thing you really can now, to go without pain or fear.
Thank you. I'm so glad you have Sooty--I might have forgotten you had a kitty now.
Animals just give such uncomplicated love and affection, that losing it feels all the worse. I like to think that Luna and Freddie have taught me something about the importance of existing in the moment.
I'm so sorry to hear about Luna. It sounds like she's been an excellent kitty furkid to you. I totally sympathize with what you're feeling about having to do the right thing, and trying to hold on a bit longer to one you love.
My favorite cat, Katze (who was 17 1/2) had to be put to sleep in 2008, and that was the hardest thing I ever had to do. A couple years before, I had to put my favorite dog, Bear to sleep when she could no longer walk. I think Katze was harder still, though. As my daughter said, he wasn't a cat, he was a person in a fur suit. He was chock full of personality and a real smarty pants.
Some animals really get into your heart - they become your good friend and part of your family.
I'm so very sorry to hear about your Luna. Every pet owner dreads that day, when it's time to let them go. Luna was one of the lucky kitties, having you to look after her.

Sometimes it seemed as if the spirit of a big cat had found its way into a very little cat.
