Last weekend it was eighty degrees in Cleveland. It was perfect weather to watch some baseball. Too bad it couldn't have been that way for Home Opener on April 10. That Friday saw a miserable downpour that went for the entire game, ultimately leading to a four hour rain delay after the fourth inning. The 4pm game ended near 11:30pm. My goodness, you're a dedicated fan! I think the Mariners will end up winning the AL West, though.

Nah, the Mariners are overperforming. The Angels will wake up. The A's pitching is too young this year, and the half the infield went on the DL tonight.

Yeah, Cincy's park blows. The old one at least had a certain cement dignity, but the new one feels like going to an American Eagle outlet store.

Home closer....you mean like the infamous 2004 Twins game where it went into extra innings and we were all forced to leave early because they had to convert the Dome over for a football game? (ok, that's more like the penultimate game, but it still counts, right?)

By home closer, I mean the last game of the season.

I'm not counting that Twins game on the list of games I left early - after all, we did get kicked out and it wasn't our fault we couldn't catch the rest of it.
