By Semester:
Spring 1998 - I train on "Screw the Buzzard". The show features an hour of punk followed by an hour of ska. It's hosted by T.P. (Adam) and the Spectator (Brian), but due to T.P.'s class schedule I end up doing the second hour by myself most of the time. IIRC, the show is on Tuesday evenings 5pm-7pm.
Spring 1998 - I am on co-op in Kentucky. No radio for me.
Fall 1998- I am on co-op in Kentucky. No radio for me.
Spring 1999 - I return to Cleveland. The Spectator is on co-op, so I cohost with T.P. on Screw the Buzzard. Once again I handle the hour of ska. Although not officially listed as a co-host, Freshy (Jason) hangs out pretty much every week. This show is on Mondays, 5pm-7pm.
Summer 1999 - I host my own show for the first time. Titled "The Body Electric", it features soundtracks (both movie and Broadway) and is on from 5am to 7am Mondays. Each show is closed out with the "
I Sing the Body Electric" from the the movie
Fame, although I often play the
punk cover by
Me First & the Gimme Gimmes instead.
Fall 1999 - "The Body Electric" moves to Mondays, 3pm-5pm, where it will stay for the remainder of its two year run. I have an AP (short for Assistant Programmer, aka a trainee), whose name I no longer recall. Since he didn't show up to take the test, it's a moot point anyway.
Spring 2000 - More "The Body Electric".
Summer 2000 - More "The Body Electric". I also host a second show, "Dr. Bovi & the Eclectic Mayhem" on Friday mornings from 5am to 7am. Dr. Bovi is my friend Matt, who isn't officially a station member (he'll train that fall) but who handles most of the music selection. The show is freeform, and close out with "Can You Picture That?" by
Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.
Fall 2000 - More "The Body Electric". I have an AP, Alex #1.
Spring 2001 - The final semester of "The Body Electric". BTW, my LJ icon is a piece of art my friend Helene designed for me when she did all the graphic for my website for "The Body Electric". I paid her in cookies.
Summer 2001 - I've graduated, but I hang around Cleveland for the summer. I host "The Crossroads & the Watchtower" on Tuesday mornings from 9am to 11am. I alternate weeks between the blues (Crossroads) and freeform (Watchtower), with the freeform week closing out with one of the many versions of "
All Along the Watchtower".
Fall 2001 - I am living in North Dakota. No radio for me.
Spring 2002 - I am still living in North Dakota. No radio for me.
Summer 2002 - I return to Cleveland, but I'm not back in time to apply for a show. Instead I cover more than 20 shows that summer, which means that getting a new show in the next semester is easy.
Fall 2002 - "Delirium" makes its debut on Sundays from 4pm to 6pm, where I will stay for four years. Yes, I'd been reading a lot of
Sandman. I do a specific theme for an hour, and then play freeform for the second hour. Alex #2 APs this semester. This is also the semester that I do a special show on
Standing in the Shadows of Motown, which is still one of the best shows I've ever done.
Spring 2003 - "Ska Delirium". One hour of ska, one hour of freeform.
Summer 2003 - "Punk Rawk Delirium". One hour of punk, one hour of freeform. Unofficially co-hosted by my friend Jean, who has just returned from her junior year abroad and needs to work her way back into the station. By unofficially, I mean she wasn't listed on the schedule. We split the punk and freeform between us. Our tagline? "Wrap your
Stiff Little Fingers around this."
Fall 2003 - "Blues Delirium". One hour of blues, one hour of freeform. Unofficially co-hostd by my friend Sarah, who is working her way back into her own show. She handles the freeform. Ben APs this semester.
Spring 2004 - "Delirious Delirium". Two hours of freeform. Unofficially co-hosted by Elise (aka,
pussygalore66. Danielle APs this semester. Tagline: "Who doesn't like a pair of double Ds"?
Summer 2005 - "Yellow Dot Delirium", which is an obscure WRUW reference. All our jazz CDs are marked with yellow stickers. I played an hour of jazz and an hour of freeform. "Not all yellow dots are smiley faces."
Fall 2004 - "Exploding Plastic Delirium". Two hours of freeform again.
gieves co-hosts as her work schedule precludes her hosting her usual "
Exploding Plastic Inevitable". I grudgingly agree to play her theme song at the start of every show, which is
Mary Schneider (the Australian queen of yodeling) performing the William Tell Overture.
Spring 2005 - "alt.Delirium". Cohosted by
infowidget, who had just returned to Cleveland after grad school. She handled most of the freeform while I handle the alternative country.
Summer 2005 - "Live from Delirium". One hour of live recordings, one hour of freeform.
Fall 2005 - "Delirium Series X. One hour of electronic and industrial, one hour of freeform. Noelle APed.
Spring 2006 - "Segue Delirium". Two hours of freeform, unofficially co-hosted by
ron0 becomes the official co-host. The last of four years in the Sunday 4pm-6pm timeslot.
Fall 2006 - "Delirium". Two hours of freeform.
ron0 and I are bumped up to the Sunday 2pm-4pm timeslot, where I've stayed ever since. Rebecca APs.
Spring 2007 - "Delirious Genres".
ron0 and I pick a new genre every week.
Summer 2007 - "Delirious Novelties.
ron0 and I only play stuff from the new shelf.
Fall 2007 - "Live Freeform or Die Hard". Yep, we like
Bruce Willis.
ron0 and I settle into the freeform show that we'll keep through the end of our partnership. Bill APs, but drops out short of the test.
Spring 2008 - "Live Freeform or Die Hard". Still
ron0 and I, still freeform, still Sundays 2pm-4pm.
Summer 2008 - "Live Freeform or Die Hard". Still
ron0 and I, still freeform, still Sundays 2pm-4pm.
Fall 2008 - "Live Freeform or Die Hard". Still

Summer 2009 - "Live Freeform or Die Hard". Still
ron0 and I, still freeform, still Sundays 2pm-4pm.
Fall 2009 - "Classical Delirium" starts up.
ron0 abdicates and I return to my old ways. One hour of classical, one hour of freeform.
11 years, with only four semesters off the schedule, for a total of 29 semesters of radio. Two shows that lasted 2 consecutive years (The Body Electric and Live Freeform or Die Hard). 16 semester of various Delirium variations. 7 APs who passed and 2 who didn't. Eight co-hosts. And lots of good music.
