No Home Opener This Year

I didn't go to the Home Opener this year, burned one too many times by miserable weather, and now by a lack of companions inclined to join me. Naturally, it was bright and sunny and gorgeous. Instead of watching baseball, I gave blood at Dave & Buster's and watched all the festivities on a really big projector screen.

More regrettable is that

Ernie Harwell's passing is way sad. It sort of makes me glad I no longer live in Michigan, so I don't have to hear his replacement and think, "Man, this is just weird."
