After more or less lucking into hosting two successful
Eliza Rickman house concerts, I was definitely interested in doing another one. However, I wasn't really certain of how you would even go about doing this. The bands I like mostly have outgrown people's living rooms, or are far too loud to even consider hosting in a residential area. I suppose there are probably sites that help connect people like that, but not one that has ever come to my attention organically, which I feel is a decent sign of a site being useful.
Fortunately, the problem was solved for me. My friend Ed of
Chasing Infinity had come to both of Eliza's shows. He and Emma of
The Occasional Detour came to me and asked if I would host a house concert for Minneapolis based recording artist
Jeremy Messersmith. Neither Ed's nor Emma's current abodes could handle a house concert, but they knew mine could. I said, why not? And lo, it is now on the schedule.
Jeremy Messersmith
Wednesday, November 14 @ 7:30pm
My Living Room
Unlike the previous two shows, this house concert will require an advance ticket. Jeremy is selling all tickets online. You MUST buy an advance ticket; no tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are $15.00. For extra fun, it's a potluck Supper Club show. Everyone is asked to bring something tasty to share. This is also Jeremy's idea. Attendance will be capped at 30 people, so buy tickets soon!
EDIT: As of 10/4, 14 tickets have been sold!
