2015 Books in Review

Jan 28, 2016 00:31

In 2015 I read 56 books, 22 graphic novels and one poetry collection. Although that was fewer total books than 2014, I read more real** books than in 2014 with a lot fewer graphic novels. Since I only wrote a little bit about this year's books, I'll summarize a few highlights, but first the list.

* = graphic novel
^ = poetry

year in review, comics, year in review - books, books

I'm surprised you didn't like Underworld.

Big Pete Boundourant has always amused me.

His book (American Tabloid) was by far the best of the three, and his parts of that book were the best chapters. However, none of the three books were nearly as enjoyable for me as any of the LA Quartet books. I had to push myself to finish them, whereas the LA Quartet books were "can't put them down" good.

I'm going to read more of his books though, they weren't disappointing enough to turn me off of them.

You'll like perfidia. It's all the quartet people as very young men.

I'm sure I will, but I'm hoping to hit his other books first while he finishes Perfidia, I hate waiting.

There's a 3rd Cormoran Strike novel out now - we got it from the library late last year!

I knew one was coming, but assumed it was this year. Excellent.
