The fall semester for my radio show at WRUW started two Sundays ago. This marked 15 full years of having a radio show on Sunday afternoons and 11 years of holding down the current 2pm to 4pm timeslot. Next spring semester will be the 20th anniversary of my training at WRUW.
Naturally, the best way to celebrate this new milestone is to change my show once again. This semester I am hosting "Soul Delirium", with one hour of soul music and one hour of freeform. The
encyclopedia project continues for the freeform portion of the show. I do not have a co-host or a trainee this semester, so it's just me and a lot of good music.
I have an above average knowledge of soul music, but I'm already learning about a lot of artists I hadn't previously encountered so we're off to a good start.
In other fun news, I currently have four former trainees who are on the schedule. Chris, Maria, Heather and Alice all have shows. This is easily my all time record for most trainees on the schedule at once. For extra fun, Heather is actually the Program Director.
