My Record Collection By the Numbers, Part 2
In my numerical summation yesterday, I said I did not count my soundtracks or compilations. I was fine with that when I wrote it, but now it's been worrying at me like a sore tooth, so here we are.

Compilations - 26
Added to the 481 from yesterday, that brings my total collection to 530 CDs.
But wait, there's more. I've got 13 mix "tapes" from various friends (remember when mix tapes were a thing?). And I've also acquired four vinyl records. I didn't count the cassettes because a substantial number of them are dubs of albums that should just be pitched, but it's large box.
In the past I've mused about doing a series about my personal history as told through my record collection. Even if I never buy another album, I've got 10 years worth of posts at one per week per CD. Or 5.5 years worth if I do one post per week per artist. This is why estimation is helpful before you start the project and realize what you've gotten yourself into!
