I'm killing my
resolution to eat out less. Admittedly, that's not through any particular virtue of my own, but take your wins where you can. I'm doing less well on the "no store bought desserts" portion though.
[1] I'm now up to 57 consecutive days without eating take out or in a restaurant. M reports that she's starting to think about take out pizza, so we'll see how far that can go.
I'm not even sure why I still post these stats. Tradition, maybe.

[2] Three new recipes for this increment, for 33 on the year.
- I had gnocchi, I had shrimp, the internet suggested combining them in
Shrimp Gnocchi. It was really good, although with that amount of butter how could it not be?
- The May 2020 Eating Well offered up the Chipotle-Cheddar Sweet Potato & Ham Hash, which is inexplicably not on their website. I obviously substituted chicken sausage for the ham. M says she would it every night, which is good because I used too many sweet potatoes and we had it for dinner three nights running.
- Inspired by my
recent post, I decide to roast a chicken. A quick google to verify a piece of info turned up the
Miso Roast Chicken. We tried it out. It was very noticeable on the skin and wings, less so elsewhere, but it was enjoyable enough.
Bonus sort of recipe: I kind of sort of made the
Smoky Tajin Margarita, or perhaps more accurately a drink inspired by it as I didn't have agave nectar or Grand Marnier. I swapped in pineapple juice for a credible cocktail. I'm not counting this one.
