My Japanese teacher is a HUGE fan of KAT-TUN. She went on a half-hour rant on KAT-TUN once and showed us an old video clip of their appearance in music station. It was a weird but fun lesson. ^_____^

Anyway, does their music border on hardcore? My initial impression of KAT-TUN was otherwise.

They all look too much like HYDE to me. @____@

xD Haha, naaaah. KAT-TUN is about as hardcore as N'Sync. In comparison with most of the other Johnnys, though, I think their music is trying to have a tougher edge.

What killed me was this video! The group of them usually look like the poster children of what a hot pop J-boy should be. But this time around - the eyeliner, the showy hat (albeit, not quite as feathery as hyde's more recent ones ^_^;), the trick with the fingers, and last but far from least..

..the lip licking!? O_O I know that's a standard thing anyone can do, but for some reason this video made copyright infringement ( c. hyde!) flash in my mind. I'm just too much of a fan, ne?

ps: I think it's when the snakes start coming out and coiling around the screen that I lost it and began to giggle. I can't help it. KAT-TUN gone j-rock. Heh heh heh.
