Don't you hate when you have a sinking feeling that things are going downhill? I'm really down on myself, and I know why. While it's silly, I can't help but go through the motions anyway. Take the steps, dum di dum ( Read more... )

I never knew that about you. Must be weird...

A friend of mine reunited with his son this weekend after like 15 years or something. Not sure how it went.

It's pretty weird in a twisted sort of way.

I think estranged parents don't have much room to re-enter their children's lives without humility or the idea that they will be rejected. I have had a few family members try to do that with me, but they preferred the method of avoiding responsibility for their actions while twisting history. I was just anxious that someone wanted to get into my life and was actually genuine.

Let's eat a fatty burger together and reminisce about the times we'd watch Shiba inu pups together. <3

Hmmm yeah, that would completely unnerve me to be in that situation as well, but I bet you'll end up having a good time when you meet your aunt!

Well, I responded to her about being excited and nervous. I'm one to be honest with important shit like feelings, at least when it comes to family.

Dude, I know I will because she is 35, and my older sister will be in town as well.

Definitely a good thing. I was a bit annoyed with my older sister in the phone conversation as she downplayed my feelings over this encounter, as if hers were greater. It's a typical Heather thing, so I've just got to be prepared with "Suffering is relative." Blooooopblippblooooop.
