Today I was driving down I-696 and I noticed what looked like tumbleweed (but which was probably something much less romantic, like a dried and dead carcass of a plant) rolling down the side of the freeway. It was very John Wayne.
I woke up before 7am today and realized that by starting each day praising God, its really hard to be crabby.

The weather is doing a number on my body lately. First its mild and rainy, then freezing and snowy. I was scraping the ice off my car this morning and recognized that when I start a career after college, I want to live somewhere that I don't have to deal with that. I started to write an entry. And then I realized that all I was doing was complaining. And I should be more grateful. Even for this forsaken frigid state that I'm temporarily stuck in. So I'm shutting up and going to sleep instead because this crabbiness will get me nowhere ultimately, except in a worse mood.

Today I went to the gym, got groceries at Trader Joes, started (and finished) a watercolor, knit a good portion of a scarf, watched six episodes of the OC, and part of the movie In Good Company. Now it is 10:49 and I am all showered and ready for bed.

I guess this is a good indication that I am bored and ready for classes to begin.
