So we've booked Francesco's Italian Bakery to do our wedding cake. We've got a nice design that's different than the traditional cake. I like it

Glad to see plans are coming along so nicely! It's so great to have something to look forward to for next fall! We can't wait for your wedding, Shaun.
Well, for our wedding, we had the rehearsal and then invited everyone to the reception site to help us decorate and make last minute touches on everything. We handed out our gifts to the wedding party and had a big pizza party since that was easiest, fed the most, and wasn't too expensive. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we all got to connect as a group before the big day. Hope that helps!
Well our place tells us that a rehearsal there can't be held Friday night (eve of the wedding) because they have a function that evening. So we'll do it Thursday night. Which rules out decorating time. So odds are some of us will be on hand to decorate that morning before everything gets going - have to figure out those details with the people at the site.
My father, who is pretty financially strapped and isn't good with handling money - burns a hole in his pocket - hasn't officially put any money towards the wedding and feels bad about it. He pledged to give his tax returns for the wedding. I hate to do that though, especially as many costs are already covered. So I'm going to suggest that he "host" the rehearsal dinner instead.
Plans for rehearsal dinner at this point: Go to wedding rehearsal Eat Exchange gifts
I figure we should have a little something else but I dunno, haven't been to a rehearsal dinner since I was a little tike and I don't remember a thing from that.
Hey Shaun, It sounds like your wedding is coming along spectacular! I am so happy for you and the future Mrs. Moriarty! I wish you the best of luck with the rest of your planning! I hope that things in the other areas of you rlife are going equally as well. Things for me are going well, very busy. So much to do! This summer I am in two weddings, I don't know if you remember my friens Seana-her wedding is in June and then Meagan's wedding! So much fun, so much work!
