In an SF/hockey crossover...

A friend of mine volunteered at a one day event where some of the cast of Stargate SG1 was to appear. He was assigned to assist Michael Shanks (AKA Daniel Jackson on the show).
My friend was geekily dressed as the actor's character, and you could sense the actor's unease as he approached and gave him a welcome gift. The actor opened the gift with trepidation and was surprised to find an autographed puck. My friend is a huge hockey fan and he had read Shanks was as well. The conversation quickly switched to hockey and they chatted comfortable about hockey throughout the day.

With the Stargate/Primeval New World ties, I found your choice of AU very appropriate. Nice job.

Thanks :) Hockey is incredibly exciting and immersive! But it can be very dangerous, yes--high speeds, hard surfaces and sharpened steel blades... there are the occasional scary moments.
