I'm gonna quit a job because of my conscience...can J.Lo play me in a movie now?

Wassup everybody? Lately I get that my journal hasn't been the bastion of happiness lately, since I've got what the youth call "problems". I'll be posting random flail about Asian Boybands named "Storm" and REAL (ha ha) bitches livin' in Madrid later, because I've got lots to flail about. But I gotta talk about what I did today ( Read more... )

Honestly, I don't even blame you. Your boss sounds like a complete dickhead, a douche, an asshole etc. Especially since it's a medical clinic. You should take from this experience and use it in your next interview, like "blah blah, yeah, what I look for in a great job is great coworkers. I had an experience where I had the most insensitive twat for a boss at a medical clinic - a medical clinic that doesn't even care for their SICK UNHEALTHY patients!"

No but seriously, I don't blame you. Summer should be over, and people will be hiring for Christmas season in Septmeber/October, so good luck!

He's a total twat--and an egomaniac one as well. He made a point to try to "subtle-ly" convince me not to quit--talking about how much growth there was there and how I could make a career outta it. Like, fuck off dude.

Nah man, s'all good. The lawyer I work for at the internship loves me so much he's starting to offer me paid work. It's not as high paying, but I'm much happier.

Ugh seriously--it makes you so jaded to see people in positions like that without an ounce of integrity or ethics in them.

Good luck to you too!

The heck. He's working for a clinic, goodness. This kind of attitude is just... no. You definitely have the all the rights to "complain" about this. What he is doing is extremely irresponsible, stupid, inconsiderate, you name it. He sounds like he's some spoiled brat and not having the attitude a boss needs to have. Ugh, I definitely wouldn't be able to keep working there if I were you, either.

I really hope you can find a much, much better job - you deserve getting waaay better stuff go your way. (hugs)

The hilarious thing is they actually called the cops on him after the doctor told the patients that my boss was out of line in trying to send them away. HAH.

Thanks man! Actually the internship I'm at is in a much better environment (And much better ethically even though it's a law firm), but they're offering me paid work, and even though it pays less, I'm happier there.

Ugh, that is disgusting. Way to take care of people, this is a clinic we're talking about here. Even ignoring the complete and utter disrespect he has for the people he's working with, he can't even treat the people he's supposed to be working for?

Good riddance, I say. You deserve better. And so do those poor women and their kids.

He's someone in the medical profession for all the wrong reasons, really.

Thanks man. The women apparently came back with boyfriends who freaked my boss out a little. When my co-worker told me I was just like, HA.
