Getting over the plague...and feeling weird about lots of things, but mostly, at the moment, this quizzie!

What American accent do you have?

Your accent is as Philadelphian as a cheesesteak! If you're not from Philadelphia, then you're from someplace near there like south Jersey, Baltimore, or Wilmington. if you've ever ( Read more... )

I object to this quiz on the grounds that the Midwest is not represented here at all. Here is my little result thingie:

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Midland

"You have a Midland accent" is just another way of saying "you don't have an accent." You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.
The Inland North

Philadelphia

The South

The Northeast

The West

Boston

North Central

What American accent do you have?
Take More QuizzesThe hell I don't have an accent! Everybody has an accent, but if you're used to hearing it all the time, you don't think of it as an accent. Bunch of daft fuckers are running this quiz, Amy, I swear ( ... )

I could see getting what you got-horrible grammar that was and I care not-but, Philly? WTF? I have lived in FL, TX, AND mostly MI before living here in Indy.

I do say soda and not pop. I do think cloud has the same vowel sound. I don't think I have a Joorsey accent, unless it's from too much Kevin Smith. Ha! Is that even possible?

Anyway, my friend James got the closest result to the one you were expecting for yourself:

What American accent do you have?

Your Result: The Inland North

You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."
