So if you know anything about me, you know that I am addicted to reading. I have about 700 books (give or take 50), they're hopelessly disorganized right now because I don't have the space to store them (I need another book case, I'm crossing my fingers for Christmas). The only way to make your journal friends only is to change the Security on all of your posts to Friends. You can do what some people did and just make all your posts FO from here on out, or do what I did and go back and change the Security on every single post. Eh heh.

Unless there's an admin console way... *goes to look* No, I don't see anything there. Bah.

I wish I could rec books, but you and I seem to have different tastes. Heh.

If you don't mind trying something new Twilight and New Moon by Stephenie Meyer are both really good. They are romance, but are usually not classified as such (though that's what the author wrote them as). It's YA but incredibly good--no trashy romance though.

You might like a few books by Anne McCaffrey as well if you like romance--Dragonflight would be a good place to start with that series if you're intrested :) It's sci-fi, but it's also about the relationship between the two main characters.

You can't change past entries unless you go back and manually change them from public to friends-only, but you can set a minimum security level for future entries by going to your admin console while logged in and typing in set newpost_minsecurity friends. You can change that at any time by going back and using the same command: set newpost_minsecurity public

But don't set it to friends-only. Then I can't read it :'(
