To book, or not to book...

So, I got four-day passes for Comic-Con for myself and hamatokameko , but as far as a place to stay, I'm a bit concerned.  Lucky's is all booked up, and this payday is shorter than last one because it's basically my regular pay.  Registration for rooms opens on the 9th.

I've read elsewhere of people who booked rooms at other hotels/motels not associated with

Rooms in San Diego during Comic-con are like gold, especially for $100 (split 3 ways?). It would be worth it to catch a cab to Old Town, or somewhere the Con Shuttle runs to, and shuttle to the con center.
