Well, after a lot of research, talking with the radiologist again, and soul-searching, I decided to go ahead with radiation. I convinced my doctor to lower the strength of the armpit rads to 20 gy, but I'm still doing 30 gy on the neck. I was wondering if you'd get tattooed. Wear them with pride, they are your scars of battle ^_^
I've got six, three down one side, two down the middle and one on the other... I think... it's been a while and I couldn't be bothered checking. See, you do forget, lol. One in the middle is right up between my collar bones, and still, no one ever notices it unless you point it out.
I also found, at least in my experience, the staff in radio are WAY nicer and friendlier, happier than the chemo nurses. I guess it's easier for them too, which is why they can be, but it makes it easier for you as well.
