You could always abandon "I" in favour of "me", or start talking about yourself in the third person.

I used to refer to myself in the third person.. it got disturbing when other people around me started to as well.

Yeah, me can see that this would be disturbing after a while. (Using "me" probably isn't a good idea - maybe it's just me, but it keeps making me want to drop out pronouns and articles when I try to use it as an "I"-substitute).

Of course there's always using "one" instead of "I"...

You're supposed to use "I" when talking about yourself.

And that's what LiveJournals are for. :P
