I've pledged 500 words a day. I'm a little scared. But I've had a story idea in my head two Christmases in a row, and I'm finally going to write it.
It's BANDOM. I haven't written Bandom in months. The split killed my ships, but I'm going to resurrect them here in an AU.
Imagine the classic movie White Christmas, but imagine it's about Pete Wentz as a Vietnam protester who becomes a recluse after his band breaks up because of his political obsessions. Imagine former fellow protesters and chart-topping feel-good music duo Ryan & Brendon (with a band name I haven't made up yet) are brought on false pretenses (that I also haven't made up yet) to hear another duo, Smith & Walker, who haven't gotten very far yet. Ryan discovers that girl!Spencer is his old childhood friend S. J., and they fall for each other pretty quickly, not that they'd admit it. (Brendon, out and proud, harbors a serious crush on Jon, who will not, I assure you, remain straight for long.)
S & W have booked time in Jon's old friend Pete's studio outside of Chicago, and R&B go with them (in some kind of bullshit scenario easily as silly as the one in the movie), where they discover their former protest leader, who is appalled at how happy-clappy they are now, even though he admits he's seen the error of his ways regarding his younger, more violent days. (I'm contemplating Ashlee being in the picture. Depends on if I want the story to be Pete/Patrick or just Pete&Patrick.) Pete's miserable without his old band, especially without Patrick. So Ryan concocts a plan to get Pete's old bandmates to come and see him (a plan which, of course, Spencer will misinterpret), and, in the meantime, Brendon and Jon conspire to get Ryan and Spencer to admit their feelings for each other.
Dude, I need someone to bounce the story plan off of before I start writing. And I'll probably want readers. Help?
Poll omg, writing! /0\
