Hmmm, I'm really liking this. Honestly, my first reaction to a Ben/Ann pairing was to run screaming from the room...but it really makes sense and works here. They're really sweet and kind together.

I'm looking forward to more! :)

Well thanks for giving it a try. I know this is everyone's basic instinctual reaction, but every once in awhile I enjoy the challenge of trying to subvert expectations. I do think they have a lot of interesting commonalities, and it's been very interesting to explore those. I hope you enjoy the next the part.

Omg I've never read any Ann/Ben fic or even though about it, but last night I dreamt that they got together and it was PAINFUL and I'm excited to read this from you!

Only you could write a Ben/Ann fic that I would read, and I'm glad I tried this. I love how mad Ben is at Leslie, and how clinical Ann was about it - she understands, and it's in her to want to heal him, or at least temper his pain. Love the texts, and how they evolved into a tentative friendship.

Well thank you for the compliment and the trust. As a I said in my author's note this is really at it's core a character exploration and a friendship fic more than it's anything else. It's my chance to explore both Ben and Ann in a completely different situation. So I hope I can continue to maintain your interest as we move forward.

Ben/Ann is my new guilty pleasure and I've even tried to start a Ben/Ann fic myself... After reading this, I don't know why I ever try to write! You're such an amazing writer! You are SO GOOD at characterization and setting up a scene and then making it so impactful! Gah, I'm so excited to read the next chapter! Thank you for being so amazing and writing this! I've been needing more Ann/Ben in my life!

But I'm glad I can help fulfill your fandom needs, it seems to be my current mission in life. Truthfully these two have really been growing on me as I've been writing them.
