Good lord, THIS FIC. I don't know how such a big premise still has all the nuances of Leslie and Ben and their dynamic and just, I adore this so much. I love the can'ts in her life and Orin and Ann willing to fight the secret service and oh my god I felt like my heart fell into my stomach when he said he won't be her agent anymore. I really can't wait to see where you take this next, its just so INTERESTING and both chapters have me holding my breath by the end, waiting for something to happen. Ahhh.

This is exactly what I'm feeling! I feel like it's CJ and Toby and Josh and Donna and Simon and Ron Butterfield and Sam (can't wait for Agent Traeger btw..) and they're pedeconferencing and the cadence is perfect.

I feel like I'm in a comfortable blanket that's somehow nostalgic and shiny all at the same time.

Long-time lurker here. Just wanted to comment and say that your fics are so great--you created a world here that isn't at all Pawnee, but is completely recognizable. Leslie and Ben are alternate versions of themselves, but absolutely themselves. Lovely job.

(one little thing: it's *Kirk* Gibson, not Kurt Gibson. I tried to find his 1988 pinch-hit HR on Youtube to post here, but I forgot that MLB always puts the kibosh on anything related to putting baseball video on the internet--booooo--but yeah. It's a pretty amazing moment.)
