Sometimes it's hard not to feel like God is kicking me while I'm down.

In the past I've listened to my Dad how he’s felt “abandoned by God”, literally comparing himself to Job. Actually. Said. The words. At the time, I wanted to smack him around, and rightly so - all that was going wrong was that he didn’t like his job and it felt like a chore to go to work every day, plus they were being forced to dip into their ( Read more... )

Hey, you've got every right to feel bad. Because having things doesn't make up for having a body that works. However, you are right that you have wonderful people in your life and the means to get the help that you need. I worry about what type of situation you'd be in if you didn't have those resources. But, still, what your feeling is normal. If you didn't feel this way at times, I'd be extremely worried.

We miss you so much. *hugs*

I love and miss you too! Maybe we could get together sometime this week or something. Of course that would mean if you're not too jam-packed schedule-wise to come by. ^_~ : hugs :

I really wish you felt better. No, scratch that. I need to say something more affirmative. What you feel right now is perfectly natural, pain is very demoralizing, but you're on the mending side now and you're going to get better steadily.

Now, I just wanted to mention that Mick still has phantom pains in his gallbladder some days and his surgery was almost 6 months ago. I know that's a bummer, but they should decrease in time. Also, that protein powder was prescribed at the nursing home specifically to put weight on some of the old people. Sorry if that made you headdesk. When you feel better and no longer need that suppliment, the weight will come right off of you.

*send positive thoughts, sends positive thoughts, sends positive thoughts* Eir watch over you, sweetie.

All of us are entitled to thinking things like that every now and then when things pile up on us. It's like a gasket to release the pressure a bit, and I'm willing to bet God just rolls his eyes and knows we'll get over it. :P ( ... )

Maybe you're kicking God by subverting his will to kill you by constantly getting these medical treatments.

*finishes subject line, starts reading actual post* :)

EDIT: http://www.fitday.com - Start honestly recording your consumption. When I do this, I lose weight. When I don't do this, I gain weight. I had two months of goodbye dinners and little exercise due to constant dissertation work, and put on about 15 pounds. I started recording my diet again about a month ago and have lost 20 (and am about to cross the 25BMI border again).

Trust me. That site works, and it's not just my opinion. Studies have shown that people who record their consumption and activity tend to lose weight at a pace almost double those dieting without recording.
