As Gustav churns only as a tropical depression over Jamaica, back home here along the Louisiana Coast everyone is bustling about to prepare for what could be Hurricane Gustav by Tuesday. My personal plans are set as lower Lafourche Parish could be under mandatory evacuation by Saturday. Not much I can do but load up the vehicle with my treasures ( Read more... )

Thanks hun. I know you know first hand the fear and anxiousness I'm going through right now. Although still far away and I can plan accordingly, the visions in my mind of Katrina haunt me. I remember the fear of being on the road coming home and wondering to what? As New Orleans hankered down for Katrina and would have been spared minus the breaking of the levees, a coastal hit for me will be devastating. I suppose I'm just scared.
