Sanctity of life, and poops.

The weather is getting colder in Idaho, which means mice are coming out of the fields and into our houses. We store bulk dog/cat food, books, laundry, and other mouse-popular features, in the rec room/laundry room. I've been having a horrible issue with them this year, for the first time. There's always been mice outside, which I know because Cinder catches them, but this year there's been an population explosion, to the point where I regularly actually *see* them on the porch or in the bushes. I even had rodent damage to my car. Which has meant for the first time I have a bunch inside. I'm resorting to working my way through my pantry and throwing out anything that might attract them that isn't in a container, because just trapping them isn't doing it.

I do actually release them, though, in a field a couple of miles away near the airport. It's true they might not make it, but they've got a shot, and more importantly if they don't they'll make a meal for some other creature, which they will not in my trash.
